I use this as an example of the impactful copy I write. This post announced the passing of a beloved lemur at Animal Tracks. I have included like and comment count in the image.

“It is with the deepest sadness we report that our Black and White Ruffed Lemur, Télo has crossed the rainbow bridge. There was a freak incident that she was involved in and despite our best efforts, her prognosis was very bleak. We made the choice alongside our veterinary team to let her go.

She did receive an entire pizza before she went (she picked off all the toppings, in true Télo style) and passed gently in the arms of her keeper.

Télo came to us in 2018. She had been paralyzed prior to coming to us but she never let that slow her down. She loudly proclaimed her good days (which were most of them), and wasn’t afraid to let us know when she was hurting or didn’t want to be bothered. If you saw her eat, you saw her adore every food. If you heard her sing or laugh, you couldn’t help but smile (after your heart calmed down from the sheer volume of her calls). She loved making new friends and was so very loved by all.

We are the lucky ones to have gotten to be loved by her.
